Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has today announced that it was named Business of the Year at the Cambridge Business Weekly Awards last night in recognition of its stellar growth and fundamentally different approach to cyber defense.

Created by mathematicians from the University of Cambridge, the Enterprise Immune System uses advanced machine learning to automatically detect and take action against cyber-threats within all types of networks. Unlike traditional approaches that attempt to pre-define threats and stop them at the border, the Enterprise Immune System’s AI algorithms learn the ‘pattern of life’ of every user and device on the network and leverage that understanding to defend the network from within. The break-through technology has detected over 30,000 serious in-progress attacks to date.
