Darktrace, the world leader in machine learning technology for cyber defense, has today announced that a leading global investment management firm has deployed Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System. The firm has signed a $1m contract for Darktrace’s AI technology to catch the known and unknown cyber-threats that other tools miss, including subtle and sophisticated campaigns, third-party vulnerabilities, and malicious and accidental insider threat.

Powered by machine learning and AI algorithms, the Enterprise Immune System works by learning the ‘pattern of life’ of each user and device on a network. Using this evolving understanding of ‘normal’, it spots emerging threats and autonomously responds to slow down, or stop in-progress attacks before they have inflicted harm. The technology has detected over 53,000 serious, in-progress cyber-threats to date, across over 3,750 networks worldwide. Customers span every industry and include some of the largest global banks, FMCGs companies, and retailers with millions of devices, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises.
