Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has been highly commended for its Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Protection at the SC Magazine Awards Europe 2016 ceremony, held in London last night.

As organisations’ networks become more sophisticated, so too do the attacks they face and traditional security tools are quickly becoming obsolete. The annual SC Magazine Awards honour excellence among today’s vast army of defenders and reward those companies who have made outstanding contributions to information security.

Powered by machine learning and mathematics developed by specialists from the University of Cambridge, Darktrace’s self-learning technology is able to monitor network activity and detect threats, before harm can be done. SC Magazine has recognized Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System for its next-generation APT protection against today’s stealthy attackers.

Now with over 1,000 deployments worldwide, 270 employees and 150 partners, Darktrace is one of the fastest-growing cyber defence companies with its advanced ‘immune system’ technology.

“In the wake of increasingly fierce cyber attacks like ransomware, there is growing demand for innovative methods of early threat detection to help businesses avoid crisis,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO at Darktrace. “We are delighted to have received this commendation which once again highlights the potential of machine learning to arm defenders.”
